I'll skip the pancake platter...

IHOP went okay. I got a fruit cup and rye toast since everything on their laminated menu seemed nauseating (wow that sentence actually sounded like I was pregnant or something ;). I also had about 18 cups of coffee which help me seem bubbly and chatty throughout breakfast.

I guess all you get at a second shower are more booby leakage pads and diapers....lots of freaking diapers.I got her a GC to Pottery Barn kids since I had a complete breakdown in the baby section of Target trying to buy newborn baby stuff and supplies and I stupidly walked down the pink newborn aisle. Ugghhh.

As expected all of the women talked about what their babies/children are up to, what they are having trouble with and of course, bashing every other friend who was not there on how they are raising their kids. Why is it that women can walk around this month in the ugliest 3-Dimensional Christmas sweaters and nobody let's them know they look ridiculous...but no one seems to keep their mouth shut about how others choose to raise their children??!!

Sorry about the difficulties at Target with the baby stuff. That had to be a difficult thing. The PBK gift card sounds fantastic to me. Hope that you were able to get a few laughs today and glad that it was bearable.

I'm glad you made it through the shower in one piece. Hope the rest of your weekend was better.

I'd die for a pottery barn kids gift card.... I think that's a terrific gift.

18 cups of coffee, mmmmmmmm.

Seriously, I'm so sorry about the shower, that is how things inevitable go conversation-wise. Really sucks.

Not to be rude, but when there are mommies walking around int he 3-D xmas sweaters, I just tell myself when I'm a mommy I won't dare look hideous and I'll try to be fashionable! At least it makes me feel better, even though it's lame! :)
