Thanks

Thanks for all of your kind words today. Today is tough but I am truckin' along.

Made an appt for an RE. I am with Kaiser and have one, yes one doc option. Not only do I have only one option under my insurance but I was already told by his clinic when I scheduled the appt that he does not prescribe the usage of Progesterone in his practice. Great.....just what I need - a doc that does not leave all of his options open and who does not specialize in RPL.

I have already spent a bunch of time researching and reading about all of the different tests and treatments for RPL and there is this looming controversy about using Progesterone. What the hell. I do not even know if this is needed for me but the fact that it is not an option out there for me is kind of f'd up.

I do not meet with him until January 28 so I think I will take the next month to research the docs in my area and try and figure this out. I really want some of my stuff covered by insurance but I am also demanding the best care.....is this when I re-watch SICKO and move to Canada for universal healthcare?

I had Kaiser for years...and I joked when I got married that I just married him to get off my health insurance!

Good luck with your research and advocating for yourself.

First, I am so sad to hear the news about your daughter. It is tough to have the knowledge, but I know you will make good use of the experience in helping you figure out what your next steps are.

As for your doc and progesterone, wow, that is surprising to hear from an RE's office. I was supplemented on progesterone for 2x per day and then 3x per day because my levels weren't rising. This is my only pregnancy supplemented. And my only pregnancy to make it past 12 weeks. Good luck with it all.

That totally bites Meg. I would look for someone else too. It could make the difference between years of heartache or happiness. Very strange...my doc wants me to get on progesterone due to my situation just in case! And I've already proven I'm slightly low with a test but she called it even before I my test done. Oh and by the way my choice was Paris, after the movie Sicko...my husband thought I was joking but I totally wasn't. So sad huh?

That sucks. I hope that you are able to find other options or at least get the doc to cooperate. If/when you go see him, ask him why he won't do the progesterone.
