" Is it all away?"

Each time we have company over, we go through a quick rundown of the house and make sure all baby making and now, baby keeping materials I have had out are put away. Since we have not told anyone of our extra fun secret life, we have to stash it away when usually some of the reading material is out. Pathetic I know...but for us and the way our extended family is, this is best not to have them "in the know" during the hardest parts of this journey. So the bottom drawer of my antique dresser in the "guest room" is full of my older, now dusty books on TTC and fertility along with my new collection of Recurrent Pregnancy Loss books, pre-seed, OPKs, HPTs, charts, old ultrasound pictures and all of the packets of surgery/bereavement information I have gotten with each loss. I hope someday this drawer is full of something a little brighter, maybe fuzzy feet pajamas....

So, I am going for all of my initial testing next week before my RE appt. I hate giving blood but after this year and what 2008 will likely entail, I better get used to it. I am scheduled for the following tests:

Serum HCG
TSH - Thyroid
Glucose - Fasting
APTT - clotting
Lupus-Anticoagulant Panel
Cardio Lipin - Immunoglobulin/Antibody

We have to do the same thing. I yelled at a friend for reaching for the cabinet where my sharps container is. She made a joke about DH's porn being in there and I let her think that instead!

I hope you're able to take everything in that drawer, put it in a pile, and burn it to ashes in 2008. And then fill the drawer with all the fuzzy feet pajamas your heart desires.

I had one of those drawers, too. Plus a bag full of baby and miscarriage books.

It took me until a few weeks ago to dare to pull out those books. Just looking at them was painful.

Hopefully none of your guests are snoopy and look in your cupboards, drawers etc. I hope your appointment goes well and you get some helpful answers.

HA! We do the same thing. Thermometer whisked away in the drawer, conceive magazines and baby books faced backwards so no one can read their sleeves if they were nosying around our closet.

Ugh, I remember all those blood tests. More power to your veins! The good news is that they usually only have to stick you once to get all the vials. I hope you find some answers and - more importantly - solutions in 2008!

thanks for the comment on my blog :)
No, I wasn't on antibiotics. I drank alot of water, ate a whole bag of baby carrots, and took robutussin for the last 4 days. I think I am just in the 30% of women that have a problem with cm on clomid. :(

oh lord do I know how you feel. I was recently horrified to find out that I left my fertility diet book out on the dining room table when my brother in law was over...let's hope he's as clueless to details as he seems. I'm crossing my fingers for you!
