Again, I have bright red spotting. Called the doc and am waiting for a call on what to do. I have an appointment already for Wednesday at 9am so I am imagining they will just make me wait until then. I am about to go check on Sprout just for reassurance immediately after this post.
This is getting just plain ridiculous. Whenever I used to google spotting at ____ weeks (which can be any number for me really), I would always find a post from a woman saying she spotted throughout her pregnancy and has a healthy baby. I was always skeptical of their "throughout pregnancy" but now having red spotting pretty much every week for 15 weeks and all continues to show up fine when I rush in....I guess it is possible.
Wednesday appointment for my quad screen test and my peri ultasound appointment next Tuesday. And hopefully boarding a plane to Oahu and Kauai next Thursday.....
UPDATE: Sprout's little horse race of a heart continues. Doc called and continues to say that this spotting seems to just be me and the way I go through pregnancy. My cervix is super vascular and the intermittent spotting may be from the fibroid. My peri u/s next week will likely shed a lot of light into what is going on in there and it is only 8 days away. On Wed at my appointment they will check my cervix and see if all is well. Spotting is gone again, like it never happened. I really hope this continues to be nothing because if something does go wrong, I will never forgive myself for not paying closer attention to this sign.... While checking on Sprout, I noticed that in 3 weeks I have almost gone though an entire bottle of ultrasound gel. Neurotic, me? No.....

Fingers crossed little Sprout is A-OK in there.
and your trip sounds great! so jealous
how frustrating! Hope everything is sounding just right on the doppler. I am just sorry you continue to have to deal with this - it must make it s hard to rest for even a short while. If you need any moral support for your appt on Wed, I will totally volunteer. Hang in there and use this as an excuse to be very gentle and kind to yourself. Big hugs!
Aw, Meg, not again. I hope it's nothing. I do.
As for Hawaii, we're headed there in 3 weeks. Hope you have a wonderful time.
Jeez, you just deserve a break from this and all of the worry. I hope it turns out to be nothing again.
You are amazing for your fortitude. Spotting would drive me nuts! Hang in there til Wednesday, but I'm glad for now it's GONE. Honestly, I have read a bunch of tales of fibroids causing spotting way into the 2nd tri. Not that you want to hear that, but I hope it IS the fibroid.
Also, FYI, I bought aloe vera gel for the doppler, because it's way cheaper, and all my research said it won't cause any damage to the transducer. Just in case you want to do that rather than order more u/s gel. I used it every single day til Baby Girl started moving all the time. It's SUCH a lifesaver!
Yeah, I never believed those women were for real. I guess now you're going to prove this mythical thing actually happens. I guess I'll have to believe you ;)
A little tip on the ultrasound gel..you can use KY jelly instead of ordering more gel. My ultrasound tech told me that and it is what I used when I ran out! I see someone else recommended aloe vera gel. I'm sure both work fine.
Sorry again for all the spotting and the fear that it brings. I'll be happy when you have your u/s in 8 days!
Glad to hear everything is okay despite the spotting. Wednesday will be here before you know it and so will Hawaii.
Hey! I can confirm that KY works great with the doppler- that's what we use.
AND, I can confirm that there are those mythical daily spotters who have healthy babies out there in the universe- one of my best friends is one of them. Vascular cervix also. Not sure that makes you feel better, but it exists.
BTW, you're doing great! I'm so very happy for you! :)
I'm so glad Sprout's still beating strong! But the spotting sucks...how stressful. You're in my thoughts!
Spotting is just so cruel.
You can also just use whatever lotion you have at home. I used the cocoa butter and my doppler in a kind of "kill-two-birds-with-one-stone" scenario.

Maybe you are going to be that woman who spots her whole pregnancy and then has a healthy screaming baby. I hope the peri gets to the bottom of it to put you at ease.
Uggh! And I thought I had spotting hell. You win, hands down.
Wishing you all the best with the upcoming appointments and that Sprout is just fine.
And Hawaii? I'm so jealous.
whew! I'm glad sprout is beating away. =) keep us posted.
Please if someone would have told me I would bleed heavy blood clots twice and make it to 26 weeks I would have told them they were on crack. Stranger things have happened. Glad sprout is still okay!
