30 weeks is right around the corner. Wild. I am ravenous and exhausted all over again. I often find myself fighting the urge to stop at a convenience store for a candy bar. Candy bars people! Before this baby I had no clue where the local convenience stores really were but now, I know exactly what aisle the peanut butter cups and butter fingers are. It is frightening how strong the urge is. I am pretty good about trying to find distraction and still get to the gym or walk the dogs several times a week but my hunger this week is amazing.
Another thing that has just popped up is the thoughts of labor. I had pretty much forgotten that I have a pretty big event coming in order to have my baby out in the world. We are reading a ton and I am close to choosing a doula. Preparation is what I know I need. If I can just know what may happen and what the process looks like, I may feel less fearful of laboring. Right now, I am still a bit frightened by the idea.
Here are a few pictures of our little man in the womb.
This is what we saw the first time. He was in cannonball and would not show us his face.
We caught a smile.

your pictures are amazing!!! =)
That last photo is amazing -- he is so gorgeous.
The third trimester was full of trips to the vending machine for me too. Time to fatten the little guy up. I knew I should choose healthier snacks but really wanted the bad stuff. Good luck avoiding it.
My whole pregnancy (when I could eat) was filled with carbs and sugar. It's all I wanted and could get and keep down. I even sent the husband out for Taco Bell at some uncalled for hour once because I couldn't sleep until I fulfilled the craving.
What a beautiful little guy!
Aww, he's such a sweetie! And a little stubborn, eh? ;)
Can't believe you're heading into the last stretch.
30 weeks already!!! Wow! You gotta give in to those cravings now and again, but good job on avoiding them when you can!
And the boy? So cute. So breathtaking. He will be here before you know it!
You will do fabulous in labor. You will. It will be such a wild adventure. But you are doing everything you can do now to prepare, and that's all you can do. You will find you are even stronger than you can imagine.
Wow -- Meg congrats.. You are in the third trimester -- how cool is that. I will say the urges are normal. I had them too - peanut butter cups and all. You will be exhausted again - that is normal. The baby may be starting to "drop" which would be reason for why you are hungery again. Labor will be ok. Don't fear it too much. You will be ok. Just remember the uncomfortable pain you might feel is worth it when your little man is here.
Here's a toast to you, your husband and your little man. I don't drink -- so a glass of sparkling white grape juice to you.
Please take the time to enjoy this last few weeks !!!!
What precious pictures! Congrats to you - I am so happy for you and how well your pregnancy has gone.
A few days ago the Discovery Channel was airing "Pregnancy for Dummies: Labor and Delivery." I decided to just play dumb for a little bit longer.
Love the pix. So cute.
