Hubby is home in one piece and very tan...I am quite jealous.
Last week I called my RE office to change my appointment. It was scheduled for a Monday and I need to meet with him on Wednesdays, so 1/23 it is. I am coming to realize that I am not wild about my boss and her unsympathetic/rude way of inquiring about what is going on with me. It is hard to explain but to make it short I will pick three things from last week...getting yelled at for feeding the girls non-organic black beans (which were in her house), listening to her lecture me on how awful it is that I am choosing a "clinical path" already with getting pregnant since I am still so young and healthy and her interrogating me on whether or not I would terminate a downs baby immediately after I talked about how hard the shower would be this weekend. I have decided to leave all of my baby making business at the door from now on and that means having all RE appts when I have a day off....Wednesdays.
The RE office seems okay for now. Not as expensive as I thought it would be. Well actually I do not know. The initial appt. (only 40 minutes) is $480 of which my insurance will pay half. At this appointment we will go over all of my history (in 40 minutes!?) and then he will likely just give me his recommendations on what tests to do and go over how aggressive we want to be with all of this....um, very. I will get a printout of all of their recommended procedures and the costs and we will go from there. Kind of reminds me of the list of options for a new car and their costs....in that case I will choose the sunroof, 6-disc CD changer and of course the wipers on the headlights.

As for your boss - WOW how bout a lil compassion and listening skills? Guess that's too much to as from some people.
I am glad that you were able to get your appointment changed. You will be suprised at all the info thrown out there in 40 mins. And i love hte new car/feature analogy

Since you read "Coming to Terms" you will know about a lot of the tests they will have for you. If tan hubby can make it, I highly recommend he go, too. They won't test him for much, but it was helpful for me to have Cowboy understand all the stuff that was going to be going on in my life for the next cycle.
It sounds like not sharing your TTC info with your boss is probably a good idea. Sounds like she needs to learn a bit about compassion and boundaries. We all have to decide in this crazy business what we will do in various situations and that decision isn't the same for everyone which in no way makes us bad or wrong. Don't let her opinions change your decisions.
Wow, sorry about your boss, she sounds like a real winner. Hoping she gives you some flexibility since once you start cycling you can't pick what days your appointments are

I hear you on the boss front. Mine is very anti children and thinks less of you if you have children or want children. She even outrightly said when she first started "I wish we didn't have to consider pregnant women in hiring. I know we have to by law but I wish we didn't." She has the tendancy to say A LOT of things that are truly unprofessional. And so I have stuck with the story that I have "female issues" and left it at that.
Way to go with the new car purchasing. I hope it has that new car smell :) Oh and don't forget the leather package!

Poo on your Boss. Don't have Non Organic beans in the house if they are too "toxic" for your kids, lady. I am amazed that you can be a nanny at all at this point! She better start being nice to you.

I'm sorry that your boss is taking it upon herself to be an ass to you. Does she have any couth whatsoever??? I hope you find much better advice at your RE's office, and treatment options that work for you.
