Sprout

Well, I spent from 3am on this morning wide awake. I went from being super excited to see a wonderful ultrasound image to mentally preparing a widespread email to loved ones with the news we lost a third pregnancy and cancelling my turkey duty next week.

We got ready in silence this morning. We went out for bagels before the appointment and talked about everything but the upcoming ultrasound.

Within 3 minutes of my appointment start, I was undressed and dildocam was showing us Sprout, measuring 7 weeks exactly and a little heart beating perfectly.

Today is such a good day already. Thanks so much for all of your support this week....

Meg, I have been away from the blogosphere for some time but wanted to let you know of my ABSOLUTE FREAKING JOY when I read about your good news! The first tri after so many m/c is not an easy road but it gets easier and easier. And then you find yourself buying maternity jeans. And decorating a nursery. And then you blink and you're supposed to start feeding your baby solid foods. Congratulations. So very happy for you.

I was just about to go to bed and I had to turn my computer back on to see how your ultrasound went.

Hooray for 7-week ultrasounds with galloping heartbeats!
