Taking a breath

Our appointment went really well. Our quad screen results were fabulous and the ultrasound was so amazing. The perinatologist was so nice and thorough and it looks like all is going well so far. A few things of note though:

1- I do have a fibroid right under the placenta but it is currently quite small and he thinks that likely this will be a complete non- issue but he wants me back at 30-32 weeks for a growth scan to make sure all is still okay in there. He said that ideally the placenta would not be right on top of the fibroid but the fibroid is small right now and both are far from the cervix which is good. I am not too worried about it - but this does not guarantee there won't be a freak out posts in the next 14 weeks....

2- My cervix is nice and long today and he says it is "perfect" but wants me to get it checked at both 20 and 24 weeks to make sure it is still staying nice and long.

3- We are having a boy! No doubt at all. He was waving and kicking and so much bigger than I imagined. He is perfect and we are elated. We have had his name for a few years but will keep it secret until he comes. But we are so smitten with our little guy!!!
