I love good weekends. Good weekends to me consist of the right balance between relaxing, enjoying others and getting a few things done.
Friday night J came home from a week long business trip. I can handle a day or two of being alone in the house but after the third day or so, I get a little weepy when I come home from work to an empty house again. It is then I realize my dependency on seeing his smile on a daily basis. I got home late that night from the twins (another post on that part of my life soon) and we went out on a date.
Saturday morning I had the Colorado Bloggers at the house for brunch. I had such a fun time seeing them and hearing what all of them have been up to. It is so nice to have this small group of women in my life. It poured all day here in Denver which is right up my alley. I keep hoping that with the inches of rain falling, huge tress will burst from the ground and the ground will tear away to the ocean. No such luck this time....but lots of rain which will ensure many tomatoes in the coming weeks.
Saturday night we went to a BBQ in Boulder. This group of friends are all either trying for their first or second child so it is always an awkward experience for me when we all get together now. Their conversations and experiences feel foreign to me and it seems to be the only thing they can find to talk about. I mainly go grab a beer and talk with the guys about computers and house projects or I sit on the floor and romp with the little ones. Works for me at this point.
Today I got a great workout in and I tried to go without a drip of coffee. This is difficult for me, seeing as though I usually have one or two giant mugs of coffee each morning. Mostly I am just fighting an awful headache. But it is a good excuse to hangout on the couch....which I do not do very often.
Hope you all had a great one.

Thanks for hosting Saturday. It's amazing how quickly the time flies when we get together!
I so enjoyed your homey home and your hospitality. Thanks for having us over! It was so nice to catch up.
Hope you have a good week coming.
Thanks again for your hospitality. The egg dish was very yummy and your house is beautiful. And damn that coffee smelled good! =)
I've spent many a social function hanging with the guys to avoid kid talk myself. If I ever do make it into the sorority of moms, it may even be hard to break the "hanging with the guys" habit!
