Bliss

I went in at 8:30 and was in surgery by 10am. My doctor was wonderful and made me feel very confident in the surgery. I am in a blissful groggy state and will relax tomorrow as well. I am just so thrilled this is over. He did not think a follow-up HSG was necessary but he does have some images to look over in a couple of weeks. He thought looking at photos of my insides after surgery may be a little nauseating. I could not agree more.

YAY! I am glad things went well and you are blissfully drugged up.

Remodeled Utie! Did he say how big it ended up being?

ps - the pix of the uterus aren't groddy just pink tissue :)

I had to laugh at the idea that your doctor would be so thoughtful as to point out that looking at pictures of your insides would be nauseating. Congrats on a successful surgery and being blissed afterwards!

Congrats on your refurbished ute! I know what you meant in your last post about this being an exciting surgery. I felt the same with mine. Here's to a nice septum free ute! And more positive outcomes. Hope you're feeling better today.

So glad to hear that the remodel went well. I hope you get to see the pics of the surgery so you can visualize the nice space where your future baby will camp.

Yeah for you! Another ute all fixed up! This is great news. It sounds like you are comfortable with skipping the HSG, but I would recommend having some imaging done after you heal. HSG's suck and I think they are overkil under these circumstances.

I had an in office hysteroscopy after my resection, where a very small camera is inserted into the uterus. You actually get to see it live on a TV screen - wierd, but reassuring. I think it is important to assess the success of the resection, rather than assuming. Some doctors are conservative in their cutting, fearing a perforation. It gave me a lot of peace of mind to know that the resection was successful. And the testing does not interfere with your ability to try that month! So no time is lost.

Congratulations!!!!
